Here’s an interesting Op-Ed about the future and what we may have to deal with as we get there.  It came from a favorite site of mine called grinding.be which is basically a tumbler of the emerging future.  If someone creates HUD contact lenses or a dancing robot it’ll be on there before most other places.

I recently came to the chilling conclusion that we are watching the battle for the human species play out today, and not on the eve of the Grim Meathook Future or the Singularity as I’d hoped.  Something with stakes that big, you’d think would involve at least a few lasers or robot gladiators battling it out for the survival of the future.   Instead, what I found myself watching was the P2P downloads scene.

And, if my initial realization held any water – it wasn’t looking good for Team Humans.

Here’s the new video from OK GO’s song “End Love”.  These guys are almost the only interesting thing happening in music videos, plus they have great music too.  Maybe if there was a channel that played only music videos people would put more effort into it.  Or turn it into a teen reality show dump.  Either or.

Now I know Kanye can get on everyone’s nerves but you have to admit he makes some killer tracks.  This has been stuck in my head for about week straight and today I could get through an hour without it popping into my brain.

I liked the Lost finale.  I don’t care what anyone says, but after I watched it I felt good about the whole thing.  After that I was FORCED to read countless reviews of the show and the finale and I do have to agree there is a lot of evidence that points to the show as a whole and escpically season 6 being a bad TV show.  Well this pretty much just makes me love the finale all over again.  Also the question I never got answered is why did they stop playing golf?
