In celebration of newly-crowned Best Director Danny Boyle, we here at BTC wanted to recognize some of his earlier work. Looking through the archives, we found an old trailer-mashup from 2005 (remember when trailer mash-ups were all the rage?) that BTC-Dave cut together. It’s about Boyle’s first lighthearted, love-conquers-all film – 28 Days Later. Perhaps you’ve seen it? It’s the one where Cillian Murphy kills falls in love with zombies.

Meanwhile… is a web series of movie spoofs, where we show you classic scenes and then shed some light on what was happening elsewhere in that movie’s universe.
On March 3, 1969 the United States Navy established an elite school for the top one percent of its pilots. Its purpose was to teach the lost art of aerial combat and to insure that the handful of men who graduated were the best fighter pilots in the world. They succeeded. Today, the Navy calls it Fighter Weapons School. The flyers call it: TOP GUN.
But what do Maverick & Goose do when they aren’t feeling the need for speed? Play volleyball of course!

Our first entry comes from the 1994 bus thriller Speed. In the film, Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock has to keep driving a L.A. city bus around town to keep it above 55mph, or it will explode (courtesy of Dennis Hopper). The film is blamed credited for making Sandra Bullock a movie star.
But the real question everyone wants to know, is what was happening during all of this chaos on the streets of Los Angeles?
