Copyrighting Sex Acts!
Posted by Thadd - 06/16/10 10:32 am

There’s a new FOD webseries, all about the U.S. Patent Office. Boring, right? Except this is one particular committee in said office, whose sole job is to approve patents on various sex acts.

Watch three actors known for very classy drama (Mad Men‘s Rich Sommer and Alison Brie, and The West Wing‘s Kathryn Joosten) say lots of dirty words in “The Committee”:

Posted by Thadd - 05/04/10 10:49 am

Funny Or DIE’s GameChangers is a webseries parodying sports documentaries. If you haven’t seen them yet, click here to catch Modern Family star Ty Burrell write your favorite sports rants, or see if Columbus Short from The Losers can dodge the NFL Draft.

In this week’s installment, Hank Azaria plays Jim Brockmire, the biggest baseball announcer since…ever. Watch his rise and fall before your eyes:

WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story
Posted by Thadd - 03/25/10 9:00 am

Funny or Die is at it again, this time with the trailer for the next biggest rock docudrama to hit the silver screen: the rise and fall of “Weird” Al Yankovic. Starring Aaron Paul (from “Breaking Bad” and “Big Love”), with stirring performances from Gary Cole, Olivia Wilde, Mary Steenburgen, and Patton Oswalt as Dr. Demento. Oh, and a nice Al cameo too!

Funny Or Die’s Presidential Reunion!!
Posted by Thadd - 03/03/10 9:47 am

This one is a doozy. To help promote the creation of a Consumer Financial Protection Agency (i.e. an independent agency that keeps Wall Street accountable, so we don’t have a financial collapse again) the folks at Funny or Die have created a video of epic proportions.

Directed by Ron Howard, the video stars all of the SNL Presidents – Chevy Chase as Gerald Ford, Dan Aykroyd as Jimmy Carter, Jim Carrey as Ronald Reagan (substituting for the late, great Phil Hartman), Dana Carvey as George H.W. Bush, Darrell Hammond as Bill Clinton, Will Ferrell as George W. Bush, and Fred Armisen & Maya Rudolph as the Obamas.

Take a look, laugh a little, and then call your Senators at 866-544-7573 and tell them to support the creation of the CFPA!

Between Two Ferns Is Back!
Posted by Thadd - 11/17/09 9:02 am

One of my favorite webseries is funnyman Zach Galifianakis’ awkward talk show, Between Two Ferns. He’s done everything from touch Michael Cera’s inner thigh to ask Charlize Theron to die. Today’s episode features Tonight Show host Conan O’Brien, his announcer Andy Richter and a special guest. Take a look!

Heroes bad guy and New Spock Zachary Quinto stopped by Funny Or Die to film this short about a very prolonged case Stockholm Syndrome. It’s pretty funny.

WARNING: Lots of Bad Words

SBTB Reunion Must Wait? Or Did It Already Happen?
Posted by Thadd - 07/29/09 10:13 am

Apparently Kelly Kapowski is really busy. I mean really.

Tiffani Thiessen is Busy from Tiffani Thiessen

BTC-Dave sent me this, but really, who doesn’t think I would have found it on my own? So I’m not giving him any credit.

UPDATE: It appears that the SBTB Reunion HAS HAPPENED (with Kelly!), but poor Jimmy Fallon got scooped by People Magazine! Expect false outrage on his show tonight — perhaps from Dustin “Screech” Diamond, who is not only absent from the reunion but also got airbrushed out of the old cast photo!
