Ron Silver, RIPActor & Activist Ron Silver died over the weekend from a battle with esophageal cancer. He was 62.

The internet is already pouring out much love for the longtime actor, known for such roles as the bad guy from “TimeCop”, Henry Kissinger in a TV movie, the political operative from “The West Wing”, and even as himself in an unaired pilot from Ben Stiller.

Some of the obits & eulogies on the web so far: The New York Times, Ben Stiller, Paul Begala, Ain’t It Cool News, Cinematical, The National Review Online, and FOX News.

You will be missed.

Comedy Legend George Carlin died last night at age 71, mere months before he was scheduled to accept the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. Adam has some nice reflections on this sad passing.

If the drugs worked, hopefully he’s entertaining angels and zombies alike today:

RIP Harvey Korman

Harvey Korman was one of the funniest guys in the 1970s, as a cast member on “The Carol Burnett Show” and in two of my favorite Mel Brooks movies, Blazing Saddles and High Anxiety. Here’s my favorite scene from H.A., where Brooks, the new looney bin director, talks to Korman (in the white dinner jacket) about why one patient hasn’t been released. Harvey, you will be missed.
