A rap about growing up playing video games. Is there really thing else I need to say?

Little did you know of the agony you were bestowing on countless koopa-turtles throughout your innocent youth:

They might defeat Koopas, but they’re pretty crappy plumbers.

As I’ve said before in video-game-related BTC posts, games based on movies are rarely successful, usually being hindered by an unnecessary compulsion to stick to the rails of a film’s story arc. However, when the developers create a game that is simply inspired by a film’s characters and universe, the freedom they have can allow for an original and rewarding experience. Batman: Arkham Asylum looks to be headed down that path, and the video below shows off some truly robust and entertaining-looking gameplay.
Side note, as flashy and stylistic as game trailers can be (i.e. the new Call of Duty trailer from E3) clips like this do WAY more to sell me on a game:

Basically someone figured if you took Death Race and smashed it together with GTA/Call of Duty/Halo you would have a hit. They even went so far as to get another action star from across the pond and threw in a hit star from Showtime.
I’m gonna see it.

Prototype is an upcoming sandbox superhero game that looks like GTA with an injection of Spiderman and God of War, which is a great pool to be pulling from. After watching the video though, it seems like the main character is about as indestructible as the CSI franchise. While tearing through wave after wave of completely helpless enemies is certainly entertaining for the first few hours, it’s gonna get old eventually. See what you think, and expect Prototype to hit shelves this summer.

OMG. She Is So Hot.
